Soooooo Not Going

No amount of cuteness on the part of these two is going to convince me to buy tickets.
Poor Troy - this is the second time the Patriots will play in the Superbowl in the city in which we live and this is the second time that Troy will not be in attendance! In 2004 (you remember nipplegate right?) he and a friend devised a plan to troll around Reliant Stadium thinking that surely someone would be forced to leave the game in the third quarter due to some emergency or illness. And this someone would just give them his tickets because, hey, someone should enjoy them. Hmmmm... it didn't quite work out.

The events coordinator at the company I work for forwarded this email she received from a ticket broker...

I especially love the part about the price coming down to $2,900. Sheesh... what was the price before? I guess it might be worth it if the potential wardrobe malfunction involved someone other than Tom Petty ;-)

Apparently I'm married to a closet sports junkie with a photographic memory and I didn't even know it. By the way, I didn't follow through with the plan back in Houston to get the free tickets...that was before we had a DVR. Now that we have one and I know I won't miss any of the game, that plan just might work!!

$2900.00? I'm speechless. I have nothing else to say.

Troy- Sorry to hear that the tickets are ridiculously overpriced because otherwise I'd totally be rooting for you to go to the Superbowl! The picture of you as a 12 year old at Christmas holding up a patriot jersey and the #1 sign comes to mind...haha I love the pic of you and Brady too! I agree-Go Patriots! :D

I think the idea of waiting for someone to leave is clever, since you're in Phoenix - chances are the weather outside isn't so bad as you're waiting around and you could totally enjoy the tailgating prior to the game at the stadium... GO PATRIOTS!

SO SORRY about your team, Troy! We were rooting for them, especially Grace. Bummer.

There is always next year!

I was a little excited to see what might malfunction on Tom Petty! I know... I'm sick!

And, really, for these guys that make millions of dollars a year, is it so much to ask for nearly $3,000? I don't think so! It seems like a fair price for middle-class America!!!!
